Park Progress
.Westside Regional Park is currently under construction near Hilliard. This 107-acre park is designed to serve as a regional destination, offering recreation, leisure, social interaction, and educational opportunities for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities.
Adopted on May 24, 2021, the Phase One Conceptual Plan includes a wide variety of amenities, such as pavilions located throughout the park; three tournament-sized soccer fields with Musco Sports lighting; a large community playground; a stocked fishing pond; an airnasium; nature boardwalks; a stargazing court; outdoor event and green space; a dog park; and an amphitheater.
The overall conceptual plan was shaped by extensive community input gathered between 2020 and 2021 through citizen surveys and public outreach events. Feedback revealed a strong desire for diverse recreational programs and facilities that extend beyond traditional athletics. The Board of County Commissioners is excited to incorporate these ideas into a vibrant, inclusive park that reflects the community’s vision.
Construction was awarded to McCall Construction Management on December 18, 2024, and is funded through a combination of impact fees, grants, and County funds. Construction began on January 20, 2025, with completion anticipated in late spring or early summer 2026.
